Mark Daley of Better Built Decks contacted me wanting to engrave a fisherman and elk nature scenes on a couple of boxes which he had made. He had previously contacted other laser engravers to have this done but the engravings had always come out too dark. As soon as I heard that, I thought “challenge accepted!” In truth, I would have done it anyway because I really enjoy the custom work aspect of my business. I’ve got to tell you these boxes are really nice and are the product of many hours of pain staking work on Mark’s part, so I was a little nervous and experimented on scrap until I got it right.
